- INTRODUCTION
- The MegaMetro game consists of Windows and DOS based interfaces that display the
- cityÆs names, a small picture of the city and a short description. It also allows you to
- directly load the city using SimCity 2000 and SimClassic.

- In order to operate quickly and efficiently, the interface needs to run from your harddrive.
- The installation program only installs the interface and not the 1300 cities so donÆt be
- concerned that itÆs going to fill up your harddrive. Only about 3MB are required by the
- interface programs.

- Since the 1300 city and other supporting files stay on the CD-ROM, youÆll have to mount
- the CD-ROM into your CD-ROM drive each time you access those files. You can also
- access you own cities by selecting a different directory within the interface using the
- Browse function button.

- 1) From Program Manager, select Run and click on the Browse button.
- 2) Locate the MegaMetro setup (setup.exe) program on your CD-ROM
- drive (usually D or E).
- 3) Click on setup.exe and then choose ôokö.

- Program installation will start and will ask you to choose the drive and directory where the
- MegaMetro interface will be copied. The default directory is ôC:\MegaMetö but you can
- choose another drive or directory.

- When finished youÆll have a new Group Item called MegaMetro. Open this group to start
- the interface.
-

- -Win95:
- 1) From the Start button, go to Run and select the Browse button.
- 2) Locate the MegaMetro setup program (setup.exe) on your CD-ROM
- drive (usually D or E) for the file.
- 3) Double-click on setup.exe and then choose ôokö.

- Program installation will start and the program will ask you to choose the drive and
- directory where MegaMetro files will be copied. The default directory is ôC:\MegaMetö
- but you can choose another.

- When finished, you start the program by:

- 1) Going to the Start Button, scrolling up to Programs, and then youÆll see an
- icon for MegaMetro.
- 2) Move your mouse over that icon and another window will open showing
- MegaMetro game itself, On-line Help and SimCity tips.
- 3) Double-click on the icon MegaMetro to start the interface.

- USING MEGAMETRO:

- The Megametro interface is designed to be simple to use with just a few buttons.

- 1) Use your mouse to select the Browse button to see a lists the files byt type:

- *.CDR Our game files on the CD-ROM
-
- *.EFF SimClassic files on hte CD-ROM
-
- *.SC2 SimCity 2000 files. You can load your own cities and use the
- ôcheatö utility to add more money.)

- *.CTY SimCity Classic files. MegaMetro can read these files too so you
- can play your old favorites and use the ôcheatö utilities.
-
- All SC Most convenient option. Shows all files on CD-ROM.
- Types:

- 2) Select a city from the directory. and youÆll see a picture of the city and a brief
- description.

- 3) Use the Edit button to makes changes to the cityÆs attributes such as Founding Year,
- Current Year, age, and Current Money. Be creative by making changes and then loading
- the city to see the results!

- 4) Select the Play button to load the you have highlighted in the directory
-
- 5) Quit from SimCity 2000 (or SimClassic) in order to return to the MegaMetro interface
- before playing another city.

- Contains information and frequently asked questions (FAQ) for playing SimCity
- and creating cities.

- About:
- Shows information about the MegaMetro interface and salutes the folks who
- worked so hard in itsÆ development.

- Help:
- Online help for using MegaMetro. Contains information about how to run
- MegaMetro, play a city, explanations of the button functions, and how to contact
- customer support.

- Utilities
- This is used to access two utilities: Census an City Manager.

- Exit
- Exits the MegaMetro interface.

- IBM or compatible computer
- 486 processor
- Windows 3.x or Windows 95
- DOS 5.0 or higher
- 4 Mb RAM
- SVGA or VGA color monitor capable of displaying 256 or more colors
- 3MB harddrive space (for MegaMetro interface installation)
